Chuco Town Rockers - Bob Marley Tribute 4/20/2012

This post is pretty late in coming BUT decided it's about time to write it!

I've had the great pleasure of playing with some of El Paso's best musicians these past couple months, in preparation for a tribute to Bob Marley on 4/20.  This show is benefiting Casa Hogar in Ciudad Juarez as well as Lee Moore Children's Housing in El Paso on top of helping kids in Juarez/El Paso it'll benefiting the El Paso Food Bank!

Rehearsals have been at the old Brewhouse off Stevens St. in Central EP, we have members of Radio La Chusma, Fixed Idea, Dub Cartel, Mexklan, All That Bleeds, Aftermath, The Hypocrite Orchestra, Annette Rios & Cynthia Gutierrez on flute.  It's a privilege to be able to play with such diverse musicians from Reggae to Heavy Metal and everyone groove musically and play some truly inspiring music! I took some cell videos of some of our rehearsals you can view below and the show is TOMORROW! I think there will be some professional photographers as well as videographers filming it so can't wait to see how that turns out!

Punk Rock Madness at Bombardiers

Some good friends from Atlanta, GA will be coming through Chuco Town April 7th, The Bastard Suns have to be the most energetic and fun loving of guys I've met on the road and had the pleasure to see perform live! 


They'll be playing at Bombardiers 109 E Castellano Dr with TBD bands, I'm hoping El Paso can come out and support these guys because they put their all into every show even if it's to playing for the staff, WHICH I hope doesn't happen (promoter flaked out on the show) So ya'll should tweet, facebook, call/text your friends & family and get some Good Friday Punk in your system and hear The Suns tear off the roof! We've been practicing for our upcoming Bob Marley tribute show April 20th at House of Rock you can check it out at the link :) Hoping to take more footage of rehearsals cause they're super fun and we've got great musicians coming in and contributing their talents and it's great to collaborate.. So had a fun night at House of Rock playing with Radio la Chusma, brought my video camera along and took some footage of Angelica Tinajero's band Shaka Toki, Geli is one of Ernie's little sisters and she was also our merch girl/jeweler when I was playing with Liquid Cheese, oh the times we had on tour haha! Anyways I also had some footage of Chusma but due to the fact I placed it in a shitty spot where there was constant lighting glares into the lens making it auto focus - out of focus the majority of the video was crap... Oh well enjoy Shaka Toki in the meantime :)
